Task: Ensure Client Steering Board Set Up
The Client Steering Board performs an important role on any Service Engagement project, as this body will review the high level status, make key business decisions with regard to the Service Engagement that may arise. As a result, it is important to establish this board during the early stages of a Service Engagement.

    Main Description

    The Engagement Manager should work with the Client to ensure that the Client Steering Board (comprising key client stakeholders) is established in a timely manner during the Transition Handover-In phase of the Service Engagement.

    A terms of reference will be created that will define the following:

    • Purpose of the steering board.
    • Definition of the meetings.
    • Typical attendee lists.
    • Standard agenda for the meetings.
    • Proposed meeting schedule.
    • Responsibility for and distribution of minutes.
